Description

GS1 Standards support radio frequency identification (RFID) encodings and 2D barcodes to provide more product information than ever before. Although the UPC barcode has served us for 50 years, users want more information from their labels. With GS1’s RFID Encoding Schemes, including new options recently published by GS1, users can uniquely identify each instance of a product and can also easily capture additional product information such as expiration date, batch or lot number, product count, and more. Learn more about three Encoding Schemes you’ll likely come across and how to work with them: SGTIN-96 for Retail, SGTIN+ for Pharma, and DSGTIN+ for Foodservice.
